One Verse, One Action
This week, you will pick one Bible verse that stands out to you and turn it into one simple action. Maybe it’s a verse about kindness, or courage, or truth. Yahweh [the LORD] makes His Word personal for each of us. Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] wants us to understand what we read and live it out. When we do, our learning turns into a way of life guided by Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit]. Think about how Psalm 119:105 says the Word is a lamp to our feet. That means it shows you where to step next. If your verse says to forgive, your action might be forgiving someone. If it says you are wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14), your action might be thanking Yahweh [the LORD] for making you special. Each matching action helps your heart remember His truth more deeply. Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] said He gives peace when challenges come (John 16:33). So even small obedience brings calm joy. As you do this activity, pray for courage to act. Share what you learned with your mentor. They can cheer you on and help you notice how your verse keeps lighting your way.

Intro

The Light That Guides Our Steps. Have you ever walked in the dark and used a flashlight to see where to go? The Bible says Yahweh [the LORD] gives us His Word to guide us, just like that light (Psalm 119:105). Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] teaches us that His truth helps our hearts find the right path. When we read a verse and try one simple action from it, Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] lights our way each day. That’s exciting!

We don’t need to know everything at once. Even a short verse can change how we see our world. El Shaddai [God Almighty] made us carefully (Psalm 139:13-14), so He helps our minds understand. Every time we pick one action from a verse, we practise living in obedience and love. This week, we’ll connect what we read with what we do!

Sometimes reading the Bible feels big, but Yahweh [the LORD] promises help. Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] teaches our hearts what’s true. When we listen closely, we grow stronger and wiser. Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] wants His followers to know peace even when life gets hard (John 16:33). That means we can trust Him in every moment.

When you listen to the Bible, imagine Yahweh [the LORD] speaking to you kindly. His Word is personal and alive. You can even talk to Him about what you hear! The more you practise, the more your heart notices His voice. Let’s get ready for One Verse, One Action that changes us inside and out!

This activity helps us practise “Understanding What I Read.” We focus on one verse and one real-life action. In doing so, we learn to move from knowing to doing, just as Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] said to follow Him in everyday choices. Are you ready to listen and act? Let’s begin with open hearts.

Reflection: Think about how one short verse can show you the next right step this week. How can Yahweh [the LORD] guide your heart as His Word lights your path?

Mentor Scenario: A mentor might remind you that practising even one verse builds your habits. Talk together about what “light” means when Psalm 119:105 says it shows your path.

Practice & Evidence: Write down one Bible verse you want to live out. Tell how you’ll show it through one action before the next gathering.

Point 1

Truth That Shapes Our Choices. The Bible isn’t just a storybook; it’s Yahweh [the LORD]’s voice teaching us how to live. When Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] spoke, He invited people to obey and trust, even when it felt hard (John 16:33). Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] helps us understand each verse and apply it. Each choice we make can show faith and kindness. One small action of obedience shows that His truth matters to us.

Think of Psalm 119:105 again. Light helps travelers see hazards and safe paths. In the same way, Yahweh [the LORD]’s Word helps us notice chances to love, forgive, or speak truth. When we read and reflect, He reminds us how to respond wisely. El Elyon [God Most High] wants His children to walk confidently and kindly.

Some verses will challenge you. Maybe they talk about patience, courage, or honesty. Whatever they say, Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] understands and walks with us. If we stumble, Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] lifts us up again. God’s Word turns learning into living truth as we practise step by step.

When you find a verse that shines light on your attitude or words, pause and thank Yahweh [the LORD]. He is patient and always near. Practising one verse this week can show your family and friends what faith looks like in actions.

The Bible teaches we are wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14), so our hearts can learn His truth clearly. You don’t need to earn His love; you are loved already. Your part is to listen, act, and trust that Yahweh [the LORD] is forming something good in you.

Reflection: Which verse makes you think about your choices? Write it down and ask Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] to show what one small action it inspires.

Mentor Scenario: Mentors can guide you in linking your verse to a situation in school or home. Talk about what following Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] looks like there.

Practice & Evidence: Share your verse and action with a friend. Check back next week to tell how practising it changed your thoughts or words.

Point 2

Living Out the Word Each Day. Once you find a verse, the next step is practising it. Yahweh [the LORD] doesn’t only want reading but doing. When Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] spoke of peace (John 16:33), He showed it by caring and trusting. If His Word is our light (Psalm 119:105), we can take daily steps that match it. Obedience becomes joyful because we know Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] guides our hearts.

Imagine your Bible verse as a small seed. Every time you choose kindness, forgiveness, or truth, that seed grows. El Shaddai [God Almighty] waters it with love and wisdom. You might not see quick results, but His grace works quietly in your heart. You’re learning to live the truth, not just to read it.

Practising one action at a time makes the lesson real. When you speak kindly to someone unkind, you are reflecting Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah]. When you remember Psalm 139:13-14, you remember you are wonderfully made, and so are others. That truth can shape how you treat everyone around you.

Sometimes, you’ll need courage. Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] strengthens you to keep doing what’s right even when others do wrong. Each step of obedience teaches your heart to trust more deeply in Yahweh [the LORD]. That’s how His light grows brightest in your life.

When we practise one verse, we start forming new habits. Over time, it feels natural to show kindness, patience, and honesty. The Bible becomes more than words; it becomes your way of living daily with Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah].

Reflection: What action step can you take today from the verse you chose? Ask Yahweh [the LORD] to remind you of it during the day.

Mentor Scenario: Share how practising one verse made a difference this week. Your mentor can help you notice where Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] helped you succeed.

Practice & Evidence: Keep a short journal entry each evening noting if you used your verse. Describe how that simple act grew peace or courage in you.

Point 3

Keep Building the Habit of Faith. The goal isn’t to try once but to stay steady. Yahweh [the LORD] wants His people to keep learning and practising. When your heart remembers His Word day after day (Psalm 119:105), it becomes like breathing truth naturally. Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] promised peace for those who stay close (John 16:33). When we obey, peace grows in our homes and hearts.

Each time you read Scripture, invite Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] to help you understand. Maybe today it’s patience; tomorrow it’s courage. El Elyon [God Most High] shapes your heart gently through each verse. He celebrates every small victory. A faithful habit becomes your lifelong strength.

Remember, Psalm 139:13-14 says you are wonderfully made. Practising His truth fits who you already are. You were designed by Yahweh [the LORD] to walk in light, not confusion. That means you can keep building, step by step. Even when it’s tough, His love keeps you growing.

Long-term faith means repeating obedience until it’s part of you. Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] invited followers to live wisdom, not just admire it. When you meditate on His truth, it becomes memory and habit all at once. You start shining the same light that guided you.

When your verse becomes natural to live out, share it with others. Show how one verse led to one brave action. This inspires friends to see that following Yahweh [the LORD] is real and possible every day.

Reflection: Think about what helps you keep practising a verse. How can Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] remind you when you forget?

Mentor Scenario: Mentors can help you plan how to stay consistent. Discuss reminders or habits that make truth stick for the week ahead.

Practice & Evidence: Make a simple calendar mark each day you practise your verse. At the end, share one change you’ve noticed in how you think or act.

Prayer

Yahweh [the LORD], thank You for giving us Your Word as our light. Thank You that we can learn from every verse and see where to go next (Psalm 119:105). You promised to guide us when we trust Your truth. Help each learner to walk in peace, knowing Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah] has overcome the world (John 16:33). May Your kindness lead our choices each day. We love You for speaking to our hearts.

Yeshua HaMashiach [Jesus the Messiah], we thank You for showing obedience and love. Teach us to copy Your example when we choose our actions. Even when it’s hard, remind us of Your words and courage. With Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] close, every challenge becomes a place to learn and grow. Let our lives show Your grace wherever we go.

Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit], guide our minds as we read. Help us understand what Yahweh [the LORD] wants to teach. When we feel unsure, whisper truth to us. Help each of us pick one good action from one verse this week and do it with joy. Fill us with wisdom and delight in Your presence.

El Shaddai [God Almighty], thank You for creating us wonderfully (Psalm 139:13-14). You planned good things for us before we were born. Make us brave in practising what we read. Turn every verse into lived faith that blesses homes, schools, and friends. With Your strength, our small acts become big lights of love.

Reflection: Ask Yahweh [the LORD] to remind you of one verse today.
Mentor Scenario: Share your chosen verse and action with your mentor before the next lesson.
Practice & Evidence: Tell one person how you practised and what changed in your heart.
